AMSOIL has signed a three-year agreement with the Traxxas Off-Road Championship
(TORC) series to become the Presenting Sponsor and Exclusive Official Oil of the premier off-road short course racing
series in North America. The newly formed series will now be referred to as the Traxxas TORC Series Presented by
AMSOIL. As Presenting Sponsor and Exclusive Official Oil of TORC, AMSOIL will help push the excitement and passion of
off-road racing to the forefront.
The AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship series represents the largest group of open-wheeled,
non-winged sprint cars in North America. "Sprint" aptly describes this series, since most of these
races are "sprints," or short distance races. Sprint cars are among the most exciting race cars ever manufactured,
and USAC has designed circuits especially for these cars including National, Western, CRA and Rocky Mountain series.
WISSOTA Auto Racing can be seen at approximately 60 race tracks located
in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Ontario, Manitoba and Alberta. The member tracks
have organized into an association and work together for the betterment of short track racing all across the upper Midwest.
If you live in the region, your local track is probably a member of WISSOTA.
Since 1999, AMSOIL has been a major sponsor of the Factory Connection motocross and supercross team.
Star riders such as Mike LaRocco, Kevin Windham and Trey Canard have carried on the team’s winning tradition and
AMSOIL is proud to sponsor their efforts.
The powerful and talented
GEICO Powersports Honda motocross team approaches the 2009 season with its traditional confidence, preparation and humility.
Started by Factory Connection partners Rick Zielfelder and Jeffrey Majkrzak, it has become one of the premier racing organizations
in AMA Supercross and Motocross.
Capping off a near perfect winning season for 2009, Team AMSOIL Offshore won a second consecutive SBI
World Championship Title at the season finale in Key West, Florida. Team AMSOIL Offshore also won the 2009 Super
Boat International, Offshore Super Series, and OPA National Championship Titles and the second consecutive Geico Triple
Crown. Team AMSOIL Offshore finished in first place in all but one race that was entered.
Team AMSOIL Offshore logged in excess of 3,000 miles of racing and testing on the number 77 Skater during the
2009 season. AMSOIL 15W-50 Dominator Racing Oil has been used exclusively since these motors were new. Team
AMSOIL uses the exact same Dominator Racing Oil in consumer packaging that is available for sale by AMSOIL dealers.
There has been quite a bit of discussion over the years regarding the suitability
of full synthetic oils used in marine engines equipped with hydraulic roller lifters. AMSOIL’s formulation,
in part, was designed to provide maximum lubrication while addressing roller lifter skidding problems. The Mercury
Racing 525 EFI Racing Engines are equipped with the same style of roller lifters that the majority of all performance
marine engines utilize. The sleek silver Skater 368 boat debuted in the middle of the 2007 season and has been going
strong ever since. Team AMSOIL ran the 2009 season without the need for any engine repairs. The only maintenance
that was performed was changing oil, oil filters, and fuel filters.
Inspection
of these engines after a year of full-throttle operation further validates AMSOIL Dominator Racing Oil as the only choice
for performance marine engines.
The BLACKHAWK/RINKER team was formed in 1994, combining the driving efforts of Terry Rinker, with crew
chief James Chambers. The Rinker Boat Company and AMSOIL sponsored team will be working toward another championship
in the 2009 season, and is certain to be Makin' Waves.
Ever-consistent finishes
have earned the team a finish in the top five in the series point standings each year to date, and the
championship in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2008! Terry has also scored ten national championships, and set five records
for speed in other classes of powerboat racing.
